These were taken about a month ago by my neighbor Sarah! I was so happy they turned out so well. I think the consensus is what a beautiful little Seth this girl is.

Our Mario...
Charlie went to a Mario Brothers themed Birthday party and the hat and mustache were the favors! He loved them and could not wait for his dad to get home to show him. He has taken every opportunity to where the hat (the mustache bugged him after a while and he threw it away). Do you see a Halloween costume in the making?

Dexter Daze
We love Dexter! It is home to some of the best cider mills come fall time. This year we went to their town parade which was part of Dexter Daze. It was definitely a "small town" parade but the kids made out like kings with the candy!! After the parade we walked around the craft booths and dropped into Cottage Inn for lunch (yummy chicken barbecue pizza). Next we went to the u-pick blueberry fields and picked for a bit. We were dripping in sweat when we were finished because the humidity was so high. The blueberries were turned into a delicious blueberry cake for Sunday dinner (we still had leftover blueberries to freeze for pancakes, waffles, and cereal)!

Buhr Pool Swimming Lessons!
Charlie and Matthew both had swimming lessons the last few weeks. Charlie made vast improvements since last year. It's great to see him face in the water stroking!!! (Our new neighbor was in Charlie's class)
Matthew was in level one and spent lots of time blowing bubbles but managed to stay above water the majority of the time. I see a level one repeat next summer!
Lucy was a doll to all the spectators and loved watching the boys!

Happy Half Birthday Lucy!
Six months has been a HUGE milestone for Lucy! She has been working hard on many "developmental" skills, and I thought I'd share a few.
Sitting up all by herself.

Way to Shine at 29!
Seth celebrated the big 29 on the 24th of July! It was fun but there were a few disappointments! We had a babysitter the night before his birthday and had plans to go kayaking, but once again, it poured!! (a lot, we saw cars going off the rode) We opted for neon mini golf, it was as fun as mini golf can be and we had the place to ourselves. Afterwards we went to dinner at Paseanos, the food was delicious! The next day we had hopes fo taking the kids to see Toy Story 3. We couldn't justify the $$$ for the 3d so we found a regular matinee to go to. Unfortunately I thought the movie was at 12:50 but it was really at 12:05, so that was a no go. We soothed it over by going to Meijer and letting the boys pick out their own red box movie. We got treats and popped air pop. They loved spending Saturday watching movies.
The cake this year was a Key Lime Angel Food Cake and so GOOD! This is a great summer cake!

Our ward had a grand 24th of July celebration complete with a bike parade! It was fun to visit and heat all the delicious salads and deserts. We also got to make some butter.
Art Fair and Such
Every Year Ann Arbor puts on massive Art Fair that supposedly draws 500,000 people. We are not the artsiest of people but it's fun to peruse (just for you Elizabeth) and see some very unique stuff. The highlight for Charlie this year was getting his face painted. A torrential down pour started (plus tornado sirens) so we took off early.
The next morning, Jenna called hoping we would be up for Independence Lake. It was suppose to rain but it was so HUMID there was nothing that sounded better than some lake water. I took a gamble, loaded all the kids and gear and it was perfect. We had the beach to ourselves and Charlie and Zoe loved the splash pad. (Charlie was upset about the plan to go because he didn't want his face paint to wash off, he came around and decided it was worth it)
