Saying Goodbye.....

I know, it's JUST a car but.....
We said goodbye to our 1997 Mercury Sable yesterday. This has been the ONLY car we have owned our entire marriage. Seth purchased it about a year before we got married and it has stuck with us ever since. Fast forward eight years, marriage, a move across the country, three children, and it was time to let it go. We never really could figure out what color it was; some said pink others said, salmon, tan, gold, coral and so on. While it did have its share of quarks,(no working radio and some of the locks not working) it was mostly reliable.

Her are our top FIVE memories with the Sable:
1. We rode in it together to the Jordan River Temple to get married
2. We brought all three of our babies home from the hospital in it
3. It took us across the country to our new home in Michigan (it actually BARELY made that trip)
4. All the trips all over Michigan, Illinois, Ohio and Indiana
5. All the times we squeezed six people legally into it

I posted it on craigslist and it was sold later that day. I hope Ray enjoys it...

This is from October of 2008 when my parents were visiting. Our brakes went out and my dad was kind enough to repair them for us!

3 Months!

This outfit is referred to as the "poop outfit." I love it and of course EVERY time she wears it she explodes! Thankfully this little girl is darling so I don't mind scrubbing my days away. I would put her 10 week stats up but I can't remember what they were, (that was two weeks ago) but I know she was almost off the charts, we love our healthy little Lucy!

Lucy was fussing in the swing and when I came to rescue her this is what I found, she received a little comfort from one of her brothers.

I LOVE this picture. I was finishing up dishes and Seth was so kind to volnteer to go fold the mountain of laundry on our bed......when I made my way to our room he was out cold on one of Lucy's dresses.

Time Goes By....

Eden was one of Charlie's first "friends" when we moved to Ann Arbor (almost five years ago)! It's amazing how fast they have grown up!

Easter Joy!

What a beautiful Easter we were blessed with. We have had our share of Easter pictures with snow on the ground so it was wonderful to have an egg hunt where the kids didn't even need jackets! We had a candy hunt at our complex with friends and then spent the day listening to conference. I love conference on Easter. It truly is a blessing to have a living Prophet in our day!

I love this picture! I walked into the kitchen and Matthew was lying in the sun eating an apple. This boy knows how to enjoy life!

Blessing Day!

We are so grateful Seth's parents (and Lucinda) were able to come meet Lucy and be here for her baby blessing! Seth's mom crocheted Lucy a beautiful dress to wear. Now I feel the need to have a half dozen more girls to get good use out of it, we'll see.

I think the boys wore grandpa out with all the "battles."

Grandma and Lucinda doted over Lucy and Seth and I were able to go to the temple to do sealings (yipee, she took the bottle). It was a wonderful feeling being in the temple uniting families and then being able to have Seth bless Lucy the next day. I'm so grateful for eternal families!

We wish the weather had been a bit warmer but we all still had a wonderful time!
